why?

Why do I obsessively think about my weight?  I mean it really is starting to get to me.  It consumes most of my thoughts and then I feel down.  Why haven't I been able to loose the weight since Sophia came?  I am eating really healthy, I am pretty active.  I wonder do i have thyroid problems or something medical, or is it just going to be the hardest thing in my life to stay healthy.  Do you know that in jr high and high school there was a boy who would oink when i walked by?  Not a great way to build self esteem.  I used to want to play soft ball, or play basketball during p.e.  but didnt dare.  I would have died if my shirt lifted up and someone saw my belly rolls.  How come we bring our childhood insecurities with us to adulthood.  I mean I am married have two beautiful children, nice house, things are going well.  Why am I not completely happy.  MY WEIGHT IS BRINGING ME DOWN. I watch all of these comersials for nutrasystem or jenny craig and think "if only i could afford that".  But that would only solve a small bit of the problem now wouldn't it.  I have a plan that I have been trying out in my head  maybe i'll put it into action soon.  UGH!!!!

I THINK THAT WEIGHT IS SOMETHING THAT MANY PEOPLE STRUGGLE WITH. EVEN THE "SKINNY" PEOPLE.
AS FOR THE ASSHAT WHO OINKED...I BET IF YOU LOOKED HIM UP ON FACEBOOK, HE'D BE MARRIED AND DIVORCED THREE TIMES, HAVE TEN KIDS FROM SEVEN MAMAS, AND BEEN IN AND OUT OF JAIL SINCE THE AGE OF 18. THOSE WHO THINK THEY ARE FUNNY AND ARE BEING HATEFUL WILL "GET THEIRS" WHEN THEY GET TO HEAVEN. HEAVENLY FATHER HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR, TOO. NEVER FORGET THAT WHEN SOMEONE IS MEAN TO YOU :) NOT SAYING HE'D BE MEAN TO SOMEONE, JUST SAYING WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND.
LOVE YOU AND I THINK YOU LOOK GREAT, ESP. YOUR BOOBS.

I agree with Jessie, a lot of people do struggle with weight even when you think they don't. I did weight watchers a few years ago and lost 30 pounds on it. It's a really good program and a lot cheaper than nutrisystem or Jenny Craig. I think it's only $11 per week and you don't have to buy special food. It focuses primarily on calories, fiber, and fat. Also, right now I'm using a program called loseit on my iPod touch that helps count calories and tell you how much you should be eating. I've lost 13 pounds in 8 weeks because it holds me accountable for what I'm eating and Nathan has lost 27. I don't think you have to have a touch or iPhone to use the program. I think you can go to loseit.com. And I don't know if you follow Naomi Thibodeaux's blog or not, but she recently posted about a program that she is using on the computer to track calories. There are a lot of helpful things out there, but you just have to find what will actually work in your life. And you really have to look at calories per serving size. We started weighing out some of our foods such as a 1oz serving of chips! It really makes a difference. And my weight loss this time has been with very little exercise since it's been too cold for me and Drew to get outside. So it is something you can do with just calorie counting, but adding cardio exercise will just make it go faster. Don't give up! Call me if you need support!

Seriously, I FEEL your pain. And, I think just about every girl/woman in the U.S. has some type of weight issue, which is so ironic because if we didn't obsess, i bet we would all be a million times healthier. I am thinking about getting a walking club going again like Jessica did back in the day.
