Time
Where on earth has the time gone? I keep saying I need to up date my blog but the family has been so busy there hasn't been time. I was in charge of two big Christmas parties the last two weekends. One was for relief society, one for the whole ward! They both were time consuming and turned out great! Work is awesome and keeps me busy. The girls are doing awesome in school. Trent is also doing well in his job. In January he will be gone most of January and some of February. We have Christmas in only two weeks! I am done buying all presents but two! I am so excited about this. I feel that now instead of rushing for gifts we can sit back and enjoy the season and each other.

love
I just wanted to say I love my new job! It's part time while the kiddos are in school and I can bring them with me if necessary. I am so busy that I think I might need to find somewhere for them to go in the summer but we can cross that bridge when it gets here. As of right now I am really enjoying working!

50's day at Sophia's school
Sophia's school also had 50's day. I'm not sure if they did any kind of activities like Brooklyn's school or not. I'll have to check with her teacher.
Brooklyn's 6th Birthday
Can you believe Brooklyn is 6! It seems like not that long ago I was still pregnant with her. She wanted a Cinderella princess birthday so that's what she got! The best part of the party was the cotton candy maker my mom brought! Only down side to that was everyone who ate the blue cotton candy had blue mouths for a long time after. It was ok for us but Momma had to go to a few stores before she headed back to her house! Brooklyn is such a sweet loving daughter/ sister. I enjoy everyday I have with her.

50's day at school
Today Brooklyn's school celebrated its 50th day of the year. All the kids dressed up in 50's attire and got to play games and hula hoop in gym. Brooklyn has such a good time. I can't wait till the 100th day to see what fun things are in store.
It has been a while since I updated the blog. I have been super super busy. Trent and I celebrated our 7th anniversary. Trent also had his 37th birthday. The day before his birthday I had a surprise party for him at the house. I tink it turned out well and everyone had a good time. I have also been spending all my extra time at Sophia's school subbing or volunteering. That changes Monday because I have gotten a part time job! I am so excited about this. I hope that throwing that into the mix of our crazy life works out for the best for our family.
We have also had the sickness in our house this week. Luckily it didn't last as long as some of our friends because tomorrow is Trunk or Treat and church, and Saturday is Brooklyn's birthday party! I will attempt to get those pictures on one day next week!

Sophia started school!
Monday this week as I started to cook supper my phone started to ring. It was Head Start telling me they now have a spot open for her! I was so excited and so was she! We went Tuesday and finalized paperwork and she started Wednesday. I was a little nervous to see how she would be when I left. She didn't look back. She is in Brooklyn's old class with her teacher Mrs. Brown. I think being in the same familiar surroundings helped a lot. The staff up there have all been so welcoming and happy to see us back. I have been asked many times if I am going to run for parent president again, I am. I did it for Brooklyn, so I want to be as involved with Sophia's school (I am also involved as I can be with B still). Something different though is I am taking the class and filling out all the paperwork to be a volunteer/sub up there as well! I'll post some pictures when I have some time. I am so proud of both of my girls and how well they are growing and developing.

It's time for a break
I am taking a little break to catch up on the blog. I have been super busy the last week and a half. There has been a hurricane, grocery shopping, cleaning, babysitting, homework, dentist, my birthday, cupcakes for school, painting the front door, painting the bathroom, and taking down the pool. I am sure there has been a million other things but I am to tired to think of them. Brooklyn woke up with a bloody nose last night. She was back asleep in about 30 minutes but it took me almost 2 hours to go back to sleep! I also had to wash her blankets and everything last night so the blood wouldn't set in. I am not sure why she gets bloody noses but every couple of months, usually in the middle of the night, she gets one.
Now you might be wondering about the batman symbol. Sophia's birthday is in a couple of weeks and she has decided she wants a superhero batman birthday! At first I was not to fond of that, but how many batman parties am I going to get to do with having two girls! She has loved the invites that I have made so far! At her party the kids are going to each get their own cape to decorate, and cookies to decorate. I am still trying to decide on if I am going to do any games or not. She also started back speech today. She will be in a group with two other little boys. She loved having them in there. She is really growing into her own unique personality!

A fund raiser
I normally hate fund raisers. I mean I pretend I am not home when the neighbor kids come around, hate them. This year is different. Brooklyn's school is a new school. It has only been open three or four years. There is a lot of things that the school still needs that these fund raisers are going to help buy. This particular one is for computers and other learning materials for the kids such as BOOKS for the library. If you are interested please help our school buy purchasing a tumbler ($12) or water bottle ($8). Everything has to be pre-paid and in by September 5th. Contact me if you are interested. I will gladly mail them to you!

Brooklyn's first day of school
When Brooklyn got into the car I asked her how her first day went. "Good", is how she replied! I started asking non yes or no questions and didn't get much out of her. Her teachers name is Mrs. Davenport. Natalie Unck is in her class. They read a story about racoons, and went on a "hunt" around school. On that "hunt" she saw Tyler Unck and Mrs. Samantha her speech teacher. I made cupcakes the day before and brought them up there. Well when I was frosting them she asked why did I frost them all when I KNOW she doesn't like frosting! I told her she could just take the frosting off in the afternoon. She made sure to tell me her teacher was nice enough to take the frosting off her cupcake! When we got home she told me she was alittle sad. I asked her why and she replied "because my teacher didn't teach me to read today!" I explained it took more than one day to learn to read. I guess I better get busy with her site words!
On another note I called heard start again today and should know today or tomorrow if Sissy is accepted. Hopefully today!

it's a remake
A friend of mine found this pillow case for (I think) $.25! She brought it to me thinking I could use it. I immediately thought of doing a skirt and matching head piece. Sophia didn't really want to model for me so I didn't get many good pictures. The skirt is actually pleated and the head piece is a really cute flower. Thank you friend for thinking of me and the girls! I can't wait to remake a sock monkey pillowcase into something!

Kindergarten!
I thought I would be a mess this morning! I wasn't, no tears for me or Brooklyn. When I dropped her off she seemed a little intimidated but they had some of the older kids helping with carpool and taking the younger ones to their class. B took off her name tag at some point this morning so we had to wait around to tell the helper what class to take her too. Besides that everything went perfectly. I know she is going to have a wonderful day. Her friend from church Natalie is in her class so I know that will help her feel more comfortable and adjust quicker. She is growing so fast. She is such a kind, smart, loving girl. I can't wait to pick her up and hear all about her day!
